Last updated: September 18, 2026

Welcome to StartupSpotting.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of StartupSpotting.com and its content, features, submission forms and services.

By accessing or using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. About StartupSpotting

StartupSpotting is an independent startup discovery publication that writes about and helps people discover startups, apps, websites and digital products.

The website may contain editorial articles, startup profiles, news, opinions, links, submitted information, advertising, sponsored content and other material.

2. Informational and Editorial Content

Content published on StartupSpotting is provided for general informational and editorial purposes.

We make reasonable efforts to research information accurately, but we do not guarantee that every statement, statistic, price, feature, funding figure, launch date, user number or other piece of information is complete, current or error-free.

Startups can change rapidly. Products may be changed or discontinued, prices may change, companies may close, and information that was accurate when an article was published may later become outdated.

Readers should independently verify information that is important to their decisions.

3. No Professional Advice

Nothing published on StartupSpotting constitutes legal, financial, investment, tax, accounting or other professional advice.

Mentioning or writing about a startup does not constitute investment advice or a recommendation to invest in, purchase from or enter into a business relationship with that company.

You remain responsible for your own decisions.

4. Startup Submissions

StartupSpotting allows founders, employees, representatives and other users to submit startups for consideration.

Submitting a startup does not guarantee:

  • Publication

  • Review

  • A response

  • A particular publication date

  • Positive coverage

  • Any amount of traffic, exposure, customers or sales

StartupSpotting has complete editorial discretion regarding whether, when and how submitted startups are covered.

We may reject a submission without providing a reason.

5. Information You Submit

By submitting information to StartupSpotting, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

  • You have the right to provide the information and materials.

  • Your submission does not knowingly violate another person's rights.

  • Your submission does not contain unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, malicious or misleading material.

  • Any images, logos, screenshots, videos or other materials you provide may lawfully be provided to us for the intended purpose.

You remain responsible for materials you submit.

6. Permission to Use Submitted Materials

When you submit text, images, logos, screenshots, descriptions or other materials for the purpose of being considered for coverage, you grant StartupSpotting a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, format and display those materials as reasonably necessary to review the submission and, if selected, create, publish, promote and distribute relevant editorial content.

You retain ownership of materials that you own.

This permission does not transfer ownership to StartupSpotting.

You confirm that you have sufficient rights to grant this permission.

7. Editorial Independence

StartupSpotting retains editorial control over its content.

Submitting information does not give the submitter the right to:

  • Approve an article before publication

  • Determine the article's title

  • Control how StartupSpotting describes the startup

  • Require particular statements to be included

  • Require criticism to be removed

  • Demand publication

  • Demand removal solely because the coverage is no longer desired

We may edit submissions for length, clarity, accuracy, style and relevance.

8. Corrections

We want our published information to be accurate.

If you believe an article contains a factual error, you may contact us at:

startupspotting.com@gmail.com

Please identify the article, explain the alleged error and, where possible, provide reliable supporting information.

We may investigate and correct material factual errors when appropriate.

A disagreement with editorial wording, interpretation or opinion does not necessarily constitute a factual error.

9. Removal Requests

StartupSpotting may consider reasonable requests to update or remove content, but publication does not create an automatic right to removal.

Requests may be evaluated based on applicable law, accuracy, editorial value, privacy considerations, public interest and other relevant circumstances.

10. Intellectual Property

Additional terms, pricing, payment conditions or agreements may apply to those services.

Where additional written terms conflict with these general Terms regarding a specific paid service, the specific terms will govern that service.
